a post a day –
jack is chasing the girls & benny around with the vacuum in the living room. ‘if you go off the carpet you loose a star!’ he declares over the noise. the upside is the floor is getting a really nice vacuum job : ) chad is watching it all from his bouncer.
its windy tonight & i am chanting to myself i-love-where-we-live-i-love-where-we-live. wind makes dust, lots of dust. it makes stove tops dirty. it slams doors, loudly.
you know how something like dusty, windy, slamming doors can just trip you up? along with a combination of, well …. a lot of other things? rex suggested i just go take a shower : )
i did.
and then God showed us how abundant He is. how He is a God of unlimited resources.
and sleepless babies & rough math lessons & dusty stove tops loose their unnecessary importance & we go ‘YAY GOD!‘

we went to the farmers market today, our 1st of the season.
we bought fresh strawberries -we went to the library. our books were due today …. but the ones from another time were late …. $68 late [cough.cough] the public library is funded in part by, us!

and last, he got to be a part of school today … thanks to his preschool age sister : )

we are yaying God too today. so glad that He’s in your part of the country doing what He does.
you have such a neat perspective through words and pictures. you capture “normal” and it’s beautiful.
your blog is very comfy, relaxing and inviting. like porch rockers with glasses of tea waiting nearby.
i never have library fines. ha. never. every time we have overdue books…i carefully write “donation” on the memo line of my check. and feel better.
your little chad. what a doll. the picture of you with your lips on his cheek is my fav. partly because i just did that with my babies.
I love those Yah God moments!
My dogs are the things that..trip me up right now, their hair, their poop. the nails clicking on the hardwood, all of it. I want to get rid of them but then I know I will feel guilty.
I love the picture of the little one with the strawberry in his mouth. Adorable,
Ahhh…farmer’s markets. I’ll be selling at them soon! I will love them until early September…then I begin to hate vegetables. or maybe it’s just the hours of selling vegetables and not the vegetables themselves.. =) At any rate, the strawberries look fabulous! So red, so summer.
…and to finish up my comment. Yay God!!!
Happy Thursday to you. =)
That picture of Ben peeking over the greenery is my fav! Followed very quickly by the picture of Chad with the head phones on
He looks so happy! I love you I miss you and I’m going to call you because I want to hear all about your “Ya God” story.
LOVE the Farmer’s Market!! Those places are just wonderful!
So yes, I can relate in part!
And a $68 late fee… makes me laugh, I’m sorry! In part because I grew up in a family of 6, and our library checkout list would be 2-3 feet long. I’m sure they NEVER saw the likes, but they were amazingly gracious.
And I love the “Yay God!”. So very true – there is always a reason to praise!
Yay God! you have us all praising Him today! I too love all the happy family glimpses in these pictures and words. Yum, strawberries, they have been good this year.
I keep hoping to hit the farmers market! Thanks for the reminder!!!
I love all the photos and I hope ya’ll have a great weekend!
that’s quite the late fee! I love the library but at times when we’re paying late fee after late fee it’d be almost cheaper to just by the books
I like the Yay God~
