we tried to not spend the entire day recovering from our camp trip ... with things like unloading the trailer & scrubbing ice chests.
we willed it to be hotter than the 92 degrees that was predicted - the 4th of july should be just blazing hot.
chady had a little nap. we made sure leftover camp food was no longer sitting out. we found all things red white & blue ...
and then we headed to moms. the temperature got close to 100. we really did eat corn on the cob & apple pie. we watched fireworks. my dear brother sang 'and i'm proud to be an american' over the phone to me. it was touching ...
we cheered & clapped when they sang the national anthem on the local high school field -
yay america. yay freedom!!

Our 4th was blazing hot....we hit 106. Today is supposed to be 116 with the heat index!

i'm sorry, but i just can't mirror your sentiments about wanting a hot 4rth. but then, you did have a pool to jump into, the way it looks--that certainly helps
I never got around to commenting on your camping pictures, but they were great. I am always amazed how you manage to remember to take pics of everything. I have only 1 kid and my summer is basically unchronicled thus far. Props to you

I love your pictures of the 4th! All the flag and the patriotic clothes and food make me want to take pictures all day long on the 4th. I just can't get enough of it. How fun to have parents close enough to get together with! You look so cute in your outfit and cute picture of y'all at the end!
